I'm laughing and horrified at the same time.
I just spent at least 20 minutes killing swarming termites, originating from my HugelKultur raised bed.
I knew there was a chance, given the fact that it uses buried lumber and logs for decomposition, but of course, warming would never happen to ME!
So...
My question is this: how to kill any residual termites that haven't flown into my house? Exterminator? A giant plastic wrap around the whole garden bed & fog it?
Ironically, everything I planted in this bed is thriving as I never expected. It's just those darned bugs....
