The pressure compensating emitters I have used have been no less sensitive to water pressure than the non-pressure compensating emitters I have used. So I just use what ever 1/2gph emitters my local farm supply store sells.

I like the 1/2gph emitters because I get a little more control over the amount of water they put out (because they put it out slower) but there is nothing wrong with using 1gph emitters.

Thanks Michael S. All my emitters are 1/2 gph and now I need to do a couple of sections with in-line emitters. I cannot use 1 gph, that would be too much water in that area. I've use non pressure compensating emitters before and they do emit more water, so I really need to find the ones that are pressure compensating. I was able to find some that say "partially pressure compensating", but I want to know what that means before I buy them.

Inline emitters are emitters that allow you to daisy chain several emitters together using 1/4" tubing. They have an 1/4" in port, a 1/4" out port and a separate little hole in the body that the water comes out of (for the people that are not familiar with inline emitters).

I used them on my front porch once. They make the spaghetti tubing a little less spaghetti-ish. The problem I had was one of the emitters in the middle plugged then all of the emitters past that one stopped working. Seemed REALLY funny that an emitter in the middle would choose plug and even more mysterious that the plug was in the middle of the in/out ports not just the emitter hole.

Have you considered using 1/2" tubing with conventional emitters? Or maybe 1/4" tubing with T's and 1" pigtails going to conventional emitters? Just a couple of thoughts. I liked the neat appearance of the inline emitters but I don't think I would use them again.

Are there any 1/2 GPH In-line Pressure Compensating Emitters being sold?

I have never run across any. Spkinklersupply.Com has just about everything and pretty good prices.
