How big are the gaps?

Thanks for responding. The gaps are relatively small and vary. The largest spots may be 1/4". Would silicone grout work instead?

Yeah, that sounds like a much better idea. You can get that in a tube gun at a home improvement store. That's what we would use to seal that space. I'm really surprised your granite guy didn't do that for you....

But the silicon will work, and you can use a razor blade to scrape any excess off once you've leveled the wet grout and let it dry. It won't hurt your granite.

That is great news, thank you! Yes, I asked the granite guys and they told me it was the responsibility of the contractor-- which in this case, is me :)
