This gas fixture requires a 1/4" copper gas line which will attach to a 1/4" flare fitting located in the bottom of the lantern. The back plate mounts to any standard junction box or a surface mounted pancake box, attached to your wall. The back plate is 6" wide x 5" high. From the center of the back plate to the top of the light is 4.5" and from the center to the gas line entry fitting is 12 3/4". You need a gas pressure reading of 4-7" WC .
