It's really hard to tell. One possibility I will throw out, it could be Electron.

Queen Elizabeth ???

Better description of the plant is needed. Height, width, growth habit, fragrance. Thank you.

Hello Diane,

I'm not 100% sure of the growth habits yet. From my observations it grows to be about 36'' maybe a bit more. Typically is produces single roses, although I've seen clusters, as the picture above (taken last summer) shows. It's quite fragrant but I'm not sure how I'd describe it.

Last year while gardening I happened to uncover this rose's bud union buried wayyy down below lots of top soil and mulch. The house we bought was abandoned for 7 years and flipped so I'm assuming a landscaper came in, cut back all of the existing owners flowers and just buried everything out of laziness.

I've uncovered two beautiful roses and I'm trying to revive them. My neighbour (who owns her mothers home- her mother has passed and she is 81) remembers them being there years ago and said they're at least 40 years old.

Here is a picture from this year. I'm still trying to learn as much as I can about roses and I hope I'm doing an okay job bringing this one back to life. Thank you again to everyone who has been helping me !

Hello rabains,

After looking at home pictures it does look like a queen Elizabeth. But I'm not experienced enough to be sure. Haha. One day I'll get there. I have so much to learn!
