Has anyone tried superhotchiles.com?

I am just getting ready to order from this outfit in California. Have any of you any experience with them? They have some quite interesting peppers.

Thanks!

Forgot to ask if you were inquiring about plants or seeds. If it is seeds I cannot honestly say as i had no experience with seeds from them only plants. I do know pepperlover.com aka Judy does sell seeds and it absolutely one of the best and reliable place to get super hot chili seeds.

I bought from him before, plants and they came out ok. 2 plants did not grow true. They were regular Choc habs not Choc Long Habs. Not much difference in color but in size. I would buy again if I bought plants, but there is no challenge in that. Seed growing is more fun.

    Hi merniljr and ronnyb123!

Merlin: Yes it is refining fire chilies and it is plants that I want to get so thanks for the thumbs up. And he put in two extra plants :) that's good know. I wonder if I should mention that ;). Its also good to know about pepperlover.com. I haven't visited that site yet but I look it up and go there for seeds next year.

By the way, have you also used rare seeds aka bakers seeds? They had a nice selection of seeds as well. I chanced upon chileplants.com. Oh my God! What a selection!!!! But so little by way of description and comments and reviews. Have you ever used them?

Ronny: Thank you. At this point I am just going to try his plants. I am just learning seeds. I am sure I am going to be having a lot of fun.

merlinjr! I did check out pepperlover.com. I loved that site. I don't know if it was because there were comments and descriptions and very good pictures but I could not turn away from the site for a long time. More importantly what an exciting collection of plants they have! Specially the annuums from the middle east. The baccatums too were more than I have seen anywhere. Their prices are so much more reasonable than superhotchiles.com.

Thank you so much leading me to this site. It had not come up on any of my searches.

    You are getting me hooked.

Many of us are familiar with and have ordered from Chiliplants.com, i would consider them the benchmark for good plants and service. I have never heard of their plants not growing true, but i suppose anything is possible sometimes! They are also located in NJ, which means for east-coasters the plants would not have to travel far before they arrived.

Thank you again Steve. I was going to make a separate post asking about chileplants.com. That's quite an impressive outfit. I might even be able to go there.

    You're very welcome as always.

Supposedly their full line of plants is not available at their walk-in nursery, I don't believe they have an online list of what's available there. Their full selection is available online only. Going to the nursery would have it's own advantages though, such as choosing larger, more robust plants etc.

I planted 6 premium hot chiles from Refining Fire Chiles last summer and they were outstanding. Great products! Great service! Great follow-up by Jim Duffy. I highly recommend this outfit for the best and hottest peppers on the planet. I'll be ordering more this year!

I bought 20 types of seeds from that site and ended up with half Jalapeño peppers, which I didn't order at all. The others were mostly banana peppers. What a disappointment. So much work for very little gain. I mean we got alot of peppers but mostly the kind I can get at any time of the year, here in Vancouver, B.C. Canada.
