A simple back splash in a lighter color would work better. The subway tile might work. I have similar floors and cabinets and dark granite and my back splash is a cream limestone. Bring home some samples and view them in different lights. You have a great range, enjoy!

Put a light glaze on the cabinets. Replace the backsplash with diagonal travertine. Match the glaze color to the travertine. It will bring your floor color into the scheme better also.

Upgrade the backsplash with small mosiac, glass tiles: A color palette of 1. blue, white, gray or 2. blue, light green, white would go perfect (and add calm) with counter tops, cabinets, and appliances. You need tiles that are small. I would not use travertine--has the big look of the existing backsplash. the backsplash needs to be tone downed in terms of the size of the material used. Please post finished upgrade!

Also, you may want to consider replacing your wood full overlay drawer heads right and left of the stove with stainless steel drawer heads and wraps on the columns …a bit of a change up from full traditional.
