our new patio

I changed this place from terrible to nice?
Any great ideas, which i can add to this place?

this was my first project. Never touched a drillmachine or a screwdriver ( beside hanging a picture on the wall)

3rd picture, still has the old seet with the old blue carpet. The picture with the candles on fire, is the most recent picture

thanks, if you look at the first picture, you can see this wall lamp. Its brown/rust, hanging a bit to the left from the center. That one is the only thing that hasnt been removed or changed. So this Before/after picture, was a nice one.

It looks like you added a lot of lounging space and coordinated all of the pieces well. I also noticed that you have a television. What a great place to relax at the end of the day! or start the day!

yep, and in the cornor on top of the white fireplace, is a small speaker. Also one on the otherside. Speakers are hidden. Sound from crickets or howling wolfs can pop out of the speakers through a naturespace app on the ipad. Ofcourse you can listen radio oid.

The environment was very cozy, when the candles lit, the crickets were playing.

Wow, now that is an awesome spot! We love it!

Think about investing in some hardy outdoor rugs for the future. The light blue rug you have in the second picture compliments the space nicely, and looks reasonably durable but it doesn't cover the entire space.

Not sure of where you are located but you will always get more longevity out of a jute or sisal rug if you are expecting it to be exposed to the weather (even indirectly).

Something like one of these two could be an inexpensive way to add longevity/ protect against elements when it gets wet out there (including your floors). Meanwhile, you can always layer rugs and have a colorful smaller rug on-top of your "base" rug and enjoy the benefit of covering almost all of the foot-space in your patio.

All the best of luck with your project! It looks great!

    @ modern rugs

thanks, but picture 2, was the final picture. I removed the blue carpet and changed it to a bigger on. the lantern on the right has been changed for an Indian mosaic blue lamp. I think that the new lamp is giving to much bright light. maybe put some paint on the lightbulb so it reduce the brightness. Somebody knows what colour paint is the best?

its a bit dark now and making pictures with an ipad doesnt work well, but the lantern is hanging, covered behind an fernwood hanging pot with a fern in it.

Hopefully it looks nice when the sun come up tomorrow :-)

the latest 2 pictures all seem to be top side down. dont know why, but they are no good. Dont know how to remove a picture, cause there is no edit button

did i ruine the ambience after swapping the lantern in the right with the bigger blue lamp?
