Seeking ideas to improve the curb appeal of our "not sure what to call the design style" house. Love the lot, the neighborhood, trying to make this the forever house but stuck in the mud with ideas to pull the different rooflines, colors, textures together. We were planning a major roofline and facade change but the cost for little "living" improvement seems silly. So back to looking at what can we do with color, maybe adding a trellis off the front, definitely a new front door, etc. - less costly but still impactful changes.

We are in the process of installing Hardie lap siding over the old T-111 vertical siding and are planning to go to a straight edge hardieshingle over the existing vertical siding at the front door alcove and on the 2nd story. The previous owner dumped a ton of money into new windows so we are trying to live with things on that front. The roof is also newer so trying to stay away from messing with it - color is estate gray.

Looking for feedback (critical comment, pithy dialogue, etc. also welcome) on the following: I feel we need to paint the brick, it is very pink and not the nostalgic Chicago style worth saving. I feel we need to paint out the very white fascias and soffits as the white color seems to highlight the roofline chaos. I feel we need to try and work with the tree that exists, we have plenty of them but they are still hard to come by in this size.

We have a new landscape plan in hand which will transform the areas in front of house, when we get to that point.
