If you are well off the road, and the doors don't look directly into the living space, I would go with clear glass.

Thanks! I prefer the look of clear glass, but it does worry me if I'm going to be bothered by too much exposure. But, you're right, if it is really a problem, we can do something like that! I think it's pretty to walk up and see directly thru and out to the water.

I voted for clear glass because there is nothing like a set of clear glass doors, especially if you are set back from the street and your living space is in the back part of the home. We had clear glass doors in our old home, and the modern style looked beautiful. We currently have a solid oak door, and I must say I love the privacy, but we live on a busy street opposed to the home where we used to live which was on a dead end.

Since your home does not look modern-looks more traditional, you could probably get away with a frosted or decorative glass door. Would love to see a picture of the doors you chose-the style should help you decide whether or not to go with clear glass. Here are some pictures of both frosted and clear glass doors. There are so many different types of glass (decorative) that may give you more privacy if you decide to go that route. Good luck making the decision.
