Our new fireplace flanked with built ins.

We have architect plans that includes 2 foot windows on either side of a new fireplace for our family room. We originally planned to put built ins there but now we have small windows included as they are required by town code. Any thought on having a window within the built ins? Our architect sold my husband but I can't visualize it!!!

Didn't the architect draw you a picture? If you are not getting pictures (elevation drawings) with the service, then what are you paying for, and how do you know if you will like any of what the architect is thinking from a 2D floor plan? If you have one, can you post it here?
