Eggplant fruit start out green then start turning purple ..yellow or golden color is over ripe to rotten(not good) Unless you have planted the white ones w/purple stripes then its greenish white... turning purple stripes

These must have been mislabeled! All that water….

What type do you have? There's such thing as yellow eggplants. If you post a picture and say the variety, we can probably tell you about them.

They are the small yellow eggplants. Mislabeled. I kept waiting for something to happen and now they are too old. Better luck next time!
