Help on window treatments!

Hi! We have this beautiful window going up the stairs , I want to add some privacy but still have little sunlight come in.. Thinking of adding drapes , not blinds to add drama, style, even when looking from outside, what color will look good? The metal frame is dark brown, perhaps gray? Cream? Black? I'm trying not to use brown bec the doors in the house are espresso already .

Very nice window.

I cannot think of anything nicer than what you already have. I love the simplicity.

I'd have the chandelier on a timer so it goes on and off every evening for a few hours.

Consider using a roman shade made with a sheer white/off white fabric. It will give you some if the privacy you require but still let in the light.

Have you considered putting up a Designer Roller Shade instead of drapes. It would go well with the clean lines, stream lined look. They come in a lot of different fabric and colors and have the ability to see out but block some sunlight at the same time.

Your space seems to be contemporary in style. If you go with stain glass be sure the design is contemporary in styling.

What kind of drape were you thinking of? You seem to have something in mind. Can you draw a picture or send a link? You might change my mind, but I don't think so. I looked at many similar window treatments before I wrote my post.
