Paint Finish

We're just about to paint a new wall we did in shiplap (spruce). What type of paint finish would you typically use on shiplap? Flat, satin, semi-gloss?

I know we will have flat on our sheetrock walks, and we have some built-ins that are against the shiplap that will have a combo of semi-gloss and wood stain.

This type of decision is really a personal preference; if you're working with a designer they would be able to discuss the pros and cons associated with your particular application. If not, a paint rep would also be well versed to discuss this with you. Good luck with your project!
