Encore Azalea Problems; Sunburn??

All,
I have an Encore Azalea that I purchased early this year. It had been outside during the harsh winter, but seems to have recovered well, until recently. I am in Raleigh, NC, Z7B. I am keeping it in the pot for now as I have Bonsai plans for this Azalea considering the trunk size and root flare. Anyway, over the past month or so brown spots have started emerging and growing from the center (mostly) of the leaves. The leaves are not curling, and appear healthy otherwise. I repotted it in March and loosened the root ball up considerably. I mixed some granulated Azalea food in with the new soil and have fed it soluble Azalea food twice in the past month. It is getting a considerable amount of sun currently, probably 8-10 hours a day. Initially, I thought full sun was okay for these, but after some reading today, I am thinking this is too much, and has resulted in a bit of sunburn. Any input, suggestions??

don't water the leaf in the day time. only at the base and if you do water the top just do it in the evening when the sun go down. i know it will cool the plant down but it will attract a lot of problem. when i water my azaleas i only water the base and maybe once a week on the top to clean off bug and dust.

I only water the base, we had a heavy rain early this morning. Should have mentioned that!

then you need to find a spot just 4 - 5 hr of morning sun and shade the rest of the day because it in a container you need to protect it from the hot sun.

Thanks for the input! I moved it to a mostly shaded area this morning to let it recover for a few days. I live in a townhouse, so options are limited as to what areas get a few hours of morning sun, then shade the rest of the day. I will figure something out.

I would put the azalea in a larger pot. It won't dry out as fast. I water my azaleas whenever they need it, sun or not. Seattle has a different climate and maybe I can get away with it and you can't.
