Anemone Anomaly?

I do not recall planting these bulbs (corms?) here but it is blooming. Even if I did, it would have happened many years ago (8+). It bloomed about two months ago and now it, or another bulb, is blooming again.

Can they remain dormant for years?
Can they bloom a second time in two months?

Thoughts appreciated.

If you have bulb digging critters they may have brought a gift.

Maybe some seed was brought to the surface and 2 managed to germinate and survive to flowering time.

I can only imagine that I did place them there many years ago. When I was weeding yesterday, I found a dead stem most likely it was from the one the bloomed last month. This is a second one.

I certainly don't mind it but blooming a month apart?
I guess this is a lot like my Rhododendron blooming in the fall.
