I have found someone who quoted me a reasonable price for removing shrubs and adding mulch. I think you're right, I would not want it to go terribly wrong with a cheaper estimate. I guess it would be miney down the drain.

I'm considering a brown/ wood door and garage doors same color but it's pricey I think. Any other suggestions on paint and trim?

what colors are you drawn too. brown and blue-grey go very well together with white trim. i love the details on this house like the deck on the front and i even like the front door. but go with what you love and then coordinate with details. taupe maybe another color to consider. if you do paint the house other then the current color the deck with pop. have fun with this.

@Madeline14, I have considered the blue grey and considered painting the wrap around deck 3rd or 4th color or changing the deck railing.

Take a look at previous posting TammieB...this house has some excellent trim ideas that add a more custom quality to the curb appeal..the colors are elegant, with the added touch of periwinkle for door,...these colors are understated but tasteful and blend in well with the surrounding colors supplied by Mother Nature

i agree with previous comment to eliminate plants and trees that obstruct views form windows and doors and let the pathway be open and airey. less is probably more with your house.

I really like your landscaping as is. Having just moved into a new house with no landscaping at all yet, I am envious of yours, which looks graceful and inviting already and will only improve as it matures.

Browse under Photos for Brown Roof to get some color suggestions. Please don't put any white rock. I spent 2 years digging it out of beds before I could plant them. It will bury itself and be a pain.
