Hi Helena! Your kitchen is gorgeous. I am wondering, is this backsplash Calacatta marble, or porcelain tiles that look like it, or something else completely? Thank you very much for your tim and for sharing your home on Houzz.

Hi, as you can see from the photo that I have attached you can clearly see the grout lines.

Thank you so much. The backsplash is 12x12 porcelain tile that is meant to look like calacatta marble.

I don't see any lines where the tiles meet. I have wanted to do either large form tiles or backpainted glass - as I find the grouting objectionable. Can you please explain how your backsplash was put up -- and if there is more of a closeup? Thanks so much!

The 12x12 porcelain tile is actually from Home Depot.
I can't remember if it had a specific name but I'm pretty sure that they still carry it.
