Wind burned maple

Hello,

I cannot find much information on the internet about care after wind burn.

I received a 16-18 ft maple tree that was hauled about 100 miles in an open trailer at low speeds. It is very wind burned. The leaves are crisp. It was out of the ground for about 6 hours. The root-ball was covered and kept moist. I planted it yesterday, but was wondering if there is anything special I can do to help it survive/recover? Any information is greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much for your time.

Brad
