The first one looks like a bit of catfacing, and the second one was nibbled on by a critter of some sort.

No not normal. As Donna said the first is catfacing - a pollination problem often associated with bloom exposure to cool temps. Later fruit is usually fine. Second is some pest damage so you'll to find out who or what is doing it. Look for worms/caterpillars, maybe grasshoppers or some sort of beetles.
