Def quartz ,it is the new granite,easy to care for.i would replace all hardware with something to match the light in oil rubbed bronze..I think that would be a update for certain

Nothing wrong with your current hardware. It will be super important to make sure your new counter is good with your tile floor. I'd go with quartz, but most importantly, don't create a problem by choosing something that doesn't work really well with the floor.

Miacometlady, I agree with your suggestion, but you may want to rethink using vinegar to clean your granite. Vinegar can actually damage the finish and isn't recommended. I use The Daily Granite which is made by Method.

Try new oil rubbed bronze hardware, some kind of white slab for the counters, and white Subway tile. Removing some cabinets for open shelving. Try to use this as a major inspiration! Oh and oil rubbed bronze light!

I think that a black quartz would look great with your cabinets and appliances (search Houzz photos for inspiration). Black quartz would not clash with your flooring. It would give you a really sleek look and you could add texture/color with your backsplash and other accessories. I would also try stainless cabinet hardware. Good Luck!

If your kitchen doesn't get plenty of light, a dark countertop will suck the light right out of it.

I'd like to have a lighter counter top maybe Millinium Cream or Bianco Romano. I'm also going to look at quartz. Other suggestions are welcomed.

Quartz is not trendy and there is no up keep. Look at cambriausa.com There are lots of great colors. Berwyn, Berkley and Bellingham would look great with oak and ORB hardware
