Start with a simple cleanup of shrubbery and elimination of walkways. I think your house will work better as a Craftsman and you might start with this inspirational photo. Except for working in a porch where your recess is and taking it across in front of the two windows, I think it is a simple matter of replacments. New garage doors and lanterns, the simple vertical boards as trim.. I do think you'll have to ditch the brick for stone though. Your home seems very close to this style and roof line. Basically replace all doors, windows, add paint, simple decorative trim as per the picture and you can get there.

I think your house color looks good as is. Nice, Bright, airy. I do agree with decoenthusiaste, clean up the front with some update landscaping. Also, the garage door you have now really dates your home. This would be the first thing I would update.
