Jade Plant. I have a nice looking Jade plant that grew up from a small piece that I tossed out on the north side of my house into an area with little soil that was covering my concrete driveway. Over the years and subsequent debris accumulation this little plant grew into a nice hedge and it flowers even though it receives no direct sun at all, and not much care from me either. Just a squirt or two of water weekly.

Jade plant in Phoenix will ONLY survive in shade or a bit of morning sun. If it's afternoon sun it will cook.

You can also grow spider plant, asparagus fern, and other "house plants" outside in the shade.
