Living Room/Hallway Help with Design

Hello Everyone!

My boyfriend and I just recently moved in a gorgeous condo and so far we are enjoying the view from it. When we moved in, couple of walls were painted in a dark grey colour. Now we do have a dilemma with the colour: do we change it or keep it? The living room is an open concept and our hallway is white and kitchen cabinets have brown/black strips. Please help us with the design.

I'd paint the gray wall near the sofa the same as the white walls. Perhaps the other wall can remain gray? OTOH once you buy a rug to brighten, the gray wall(s) might be fine, so maybe wait until then?

In photo, I love the rug and beige chair & throw pillows & coffee table + touch of aquamarine with the blue glass on coffee table. A "spy glass" would look great in the corner of your view-condo! click photo 1.

thank you very much,TanCalGal! I had something similar in mind. Do you think the armchair like on the picture below will work or it is better to pick something in an opposite style?
