Ok, thank you. Other than picking them off, is there a deterrent ?

Looks like caterpillar damage to me. I just pulled some off a brug of mine this morning, and the leaf damage is similar. I don't know of a deterrent, but they really aren't hard to control by picking them off and killing them.

You can usually rule out slugs if there aren't any shiny "trails" running back and forth across the leaves ... I thought there was something you could put on the stems to prevent caterpillars from crawling up and eating the leaves but I'm drawing a blank at the moment, I'll have to get back to you ... But it would only prevent future invaders, you'll have to find the current trespasser!

I am sure there are some kind of powders or sprays to kill the caterpillars, but since I don't use any kind of sprays can't tell you. I just get a stick or leaf and squish them on the ground.

you can put tangle foot on the stems to stop all insects and slugs

everything eats them, that is why we call them bugmansia.

*KNOCK ON WOOD* I haven't noticed much on mine except a few evasive white flies .... And they prefer my "Georgia Peach" for some reason!! Maybe having them on a 2nd floor balcony has helped ........ =)

where can I get tanglefoot?
