Bring the furniture in so that the front legs are on the rug.

You need a simple table. no one will see it as is between wall and sofa

Move the rug back just a little, move sofa closer to table when you get it and move chair in on rug. Put lamp on sofa table and add coffee table and an end table.

I would suggest rectangular coffee table

and rd table with lamp by accent chair

the wall behind the couch is huge and I'm having a hard time figuring out what to do with it? mirrors don't work because of all of the Windows. should the table go behind the sofa or against the wall like an entry table?

I would put behind the sofa. How big is that wall?

I would add another chair to the room on other side of FP.

I have a similar furniture lay out in my living room. I collect art so I put my sofa table against the wall and surrounded it with framed art and sculptures. Your wall does not have to be so crowded as mine. I still have plenty of room to walk behind the sofa. A large painting, vase of flowers and perhaps a small lamp on the table will make a beautiful setting.

I love your entry door. Bring in some of that blue into your room. Either in pillows or in printed fabric drapes. I also would get an end table in the shape of a drum to mimic the shape of your clock. I have seen nice ones with a drawer and cabinet door in them.

Ignore the paint swatches on the wall, I am trying out paint colors.

I forgot to say Pier 1 has nice round tables. Check craigs list for sofa tables too.

it's pretty big! I got a table from wap Mart by international concepts that comes unstained so I can match my other pieces. I'm worried with the table being behind the couch because it reclines :(

I think that you need table lamps or floor lamps so that you do not have to use overhead lighting. It is very unflattering. Also, are you planning to remove that blind? Drapery panels would look so much better/softer.

Funny, I was going to ask if sofa reclined. Of course since it does :>) can't put table behind it.

The picture is from Pier 1. It would look great behind the sofa, but doubt if I can find a table that long to go underneath it.

You could put something like this behind the sofa with the picture over it It is 71" long 31" high. You can bring in both the sofa and loveseat closer to FP and front legs on the rug. Test the sofa out so that when it is reclined there is still some room. Also when the sofa is in upright position, there is room to walk behind it with the cabinet against the wall.

thanks for the help! I have some drapes in mind, but I'm weary of where placement should be? I have these in mind from target to pull in the gold from my pillows, and would like blue on the outside (to match my settee), but it's hard to find curtains without the huge grommets. I feel as though that take the softness away a curtain should bring in.

Found these, they do come in blue, sample is small so hard to tell color ,but might order one and try it.

Looking good. but need to lower both pictures. Bottom of one behind sofa should be 6-7" above table top. Also you need to put front legs of furniture on rug. If you have furniture where you want it then pull rug back under legs. :>)

yea I thought the pics were a little high! I'm slowly moving the furniture on the rug...my husband is hard to convince at that part lol.

Haha! I know what you mean about having husbands that are hard to convince...a little movement each day, and he won't even realize it! I see you already have the one sitting on the edge of the rug!

Think about scale when hanging anything on a wall. You a very small picture next to the door. I would offset the picture and add some other piece of art that complements it.
