Mexican Sunflower 10'

Is it normal for a Mexican Sunflower to get 10' tall? When I google "Mexican Sunflower" it looks exactly like what I have. Also, when I bought it at the Farmer's Market, that's what the farmer called it.

However, everything I read says 5 - 7 feet tall.

I'm just curious. Would love to grow these every year. Hummies, butterflies, and bees all love it.
