Black spots camelia sinensis

I have had a camelia sinensis for a few months. It only just started growing some new leafs and the old leafs had already begun to turn yellow. Before it started growing I thought it would probably die. But now I found one leaf with black spots on it. It is on one of the new leafs. I have included photos. If anyone could tell me what is wrong with this plant that would help me enormously. Thanks in advance!!

Aphids secrete honeydew (looks black) so I would consider if you have aphids.

Can't see the little spots well enough to determine what they are. The plant is quite unhealthy looking...I wasn't even sure that it is a camellia!

Aphids would be present if they were the problem; you would see them crawling around. They do excrete a clear, sticky honeydew and sometimes a black simple mold grows on and feeds on that sugary substance, but I see no evidence of either. Check the underside of the leaves carefully to see if any aphids, scale insects, mites, or other crawlies are hiding.

I suspect that the problems may have something to do with the potting medium, the watering or fertilizing regimen.
