Oh absolutely. :) I did lose an African violet (didn't even know it had been left in my house by a family member) and a small pothos vine. Everything else is doing great now, and this one is growing nicely. Pretty quick here I am going to put it in cactus soil mixed with perlite, this potting mix doesn't seem quite right but not sure if i should mess with it so soon or wait. Still, it seems to be happy again!

It's hard to say, but if I were to make the executive decision to repot it right now (which I probably would and it's an executive decision because no one can tell me otherwise, it's what I think the right thing is for the plant and that...as they say...is that. H'anyway...) I would probably try to find a smaller pot for it as well....hard to say without seeing the status of the hidden rhizomes that may or may not be in tact or maybe they were never connected at all.

After repotting, don't water for a while just in case there was some damage to the root systems. If they are all actively growing, I think now would be a good time...but I could be totally wrong too.

A 4 inch would be fine if you can get all of them to fit in it, or pot them up seperately. I have been using the wide and short Terra cotta pots, can't speak as to my success or failure yet lol.

where do you get your wide and low terracotta pots?

That one is about 7.99 at the local greenhouse/nursery.

They also sell "azalea pots" which work really well too, especially if you're dealing with a plant that's too big/tall to fit in one of those that I have for my Sans/werneckii planting. (which I still don't know if it'll work because no one has said otherwise, so I'm just gonna see how it goes).

I just repotted it and put it in the bigger container with newspaper around the Terra cotta to help insulate the roots from the heat. It's hot out there so it's in shade all day, just waiting to be watered so I can start putting it out in the sun.

Not sure that Dracaena and Sansevieria are compatible, I think their water needs are different. Is that a gritty mix? Maybe that will balance things out. But of course we will need updates on your experiment, LOL! S. Hahnii do well in those short wide pots. I had a group in a plastic one and it worked out well, so much so that I've adopted out that plant group!

Adopted it out? Like...gave it to someone? It's so hard for me to give plants to people, unless I know they are already plant people that don't kill plants....like people who already have plants and don't kill them need anymore plants though, right?

a catch 22 for sure, but yes I try to give plants to people who can keep them alive. It is difficult to find people to accept your over flow plants. My co-workers joke that I should open a "no kill plant adoption center"!

Kim, what do you have rooting in the glass jar? Did you ever repot the Sansevieria and Jade?
