Great closeup of the hummingbird! I can see how they'd love those tubular flowers. It's funny to see them trying to protect every patch of monarda, my two feeders, and all the other flowers they like. Hummers never got the lesson about sharing.

Dave, this hasn't been the prettiest year for my gardens with the hail in May and then the hottest June on record. I had some early crisping of some hostas, but everything is hanging in there all right.

But I found a silver lining. I can work on different projects in the gardens without worrying that I'm messing things up too much. I feel like I've been getting a lot done and hoping for a good season next year.

I've really enjoyed seeing how well your gardens did this year. They're very inspiring!
