Need help "finishing" by living room

I need help accessorizing and decorating my living room. Couch, chairs and end tables have to stay. Everything else I can change, move or add. I feel the walls are bare and need some ideas for them. I appreciate any suggestions.

Looks like the focal point would be the bay window...I would, move the couch to the opening of the room (so you see the back)..where the couch is I would put the credenza..on the credenza put the 2- black lights, so they sit higher above the chair rail....Then the 2-side chairs, put where the credenza was, with one of the end tables in the middle of them...The other end table could go on either side of the couch ( I think by the 2-side chairs......And you need some kind of heighth...like a tall plant in the corner or some tall vase with folaige to draw your eyes upward (next to the credenza)

Oh...Change the Shades on the lamps..there are some real cool shades out there..maybe pick up a color from the side chairs.

2 large complimentary pieces of art above the sofa. Taller lamps on either side of the sofa. I would change out drapery with a pretty pattern fabric and use throw pillows to compliment the color in the drapes and the artwork. Also a large area rug anchors a room.
Maybe rotate the chairs a bit toward each other a tad with a small table in between. You have pretty neutral basics so you could do some crazy things with color in this room. My inspiration would be in the artwork. Maybe a 2 piece set of canvases!!

agree with the height...everything is the same. Try a floor lamp at end of couch --try moving where credenza is and maybe bigger side table on left end with colored cloth and lamp on top. Put small chair then at angle beside that. If move credenza where couch was need picture display or more interest on wall. Move chair out, even at angle with table between them. Think the footstool/coffee table isn't quite right--work on that. Maybe even a lighter one. It all takes time and patience.

I would leave most in the current configuration. Remove the filigree panels from the window, add extra panels of main fabric if necessary. Keep it simple. Purchase another chair substantial in size and in a dark fabric with small stripes to be placed angled into the room to the left of the current credenza. Place one of the current end tables next to it. Place the other current end table between the pair of chairs (no lamp) if too large around, find a narrower one..round. Maybe a torcher lamp behind the new chair. Replace credenza with a more substantial piece with solid doors on bottom (no glass), also taller. Place the mirror vertically over the credenza and place 4 (approx. 15x18") framed alike pictures, 2 on either side of the mirror. Purchase larger end tables more rectangular, high, that come to the front of the sofa. Large, bulky, tall lamps. Very large art piece grouping over the sofa, nine things, 3 huge things, etc. Keep your current ottoman closer to the sofa.

The reflection of the stairwell in your mirror is not particularly beautiful or interesting. Perhaps you should move it across from the window and view.

The mirror should go... put the colored pic above sofa. Something else above credenza collection of pics in like frames?Tall greenery by credenza, large area rug that pulls all together.I normally like some black in a room but it throws this off with the ottoman I would recover it in a coordinating fabric or the area rug could help it to blend in more...lamps too dark for room lighter and bigger lamps.

Yup ditch the mirror, reflection of foyer ruins it. Change out the lamps or at least the shades. Also buy a nice large floor lamp.Buy a big comfy chair to put near the credenza on a angle. Make a grouping of your pictures on a wall instead of on the tables, make sure you hang them at eye level.

You could place the two chairs a little further apart; one to the very left end of the window and the other to the very right end in an angle. Put one of the coffee tables between them. Place the couch on the opposite wall; where the credenza is. And hang the mirror over the couch. If you can go and get yourself a taller and longer credenza without glass or a nice console, place it on the wall where the couch was. Hang a nice painting or a group of family photos in different sizes above it. Place one of your lamps on it. And decorate it further with a vase or a special bowl. Put a huge plant in one of the corners. Place your other coffee table underneath it and put your aquarium on it. A smaller rug would also look better in your room. Change the curtains. The fabric didn't really work. You can use red fabric with a pattern. If you don't want to change the curtains get red shades for the table lamps...
