What a gorgeous space! I would start with a large mirror to reflect natural light back into your space. Like the backsplash in your lovely kitchen, it adds shimmer, dimension and visual interest while remaining neutral.

is there ample space to put a furniture piece behind the table? a buffet? a tall cabinet in the corner? it will be difficult to adequately fill in the empty wall space with art alone...and a bit of storage is always good, and a surface for serving will come in handy. frame any art selections with clean, modern framing for a great effect in here...no mats. art is such a personal choice. look at art.com for some large scaled art prints that you love to look at, that will work with the palette, and will express your personality into your space. ;)

All very good advice. You could do a gallery wall, too. Travel photos and mementos, kid pics, any theme really. I would use simple white frames to reduce visual clutter. I agree you need a flat surface behind the table. If you don't have room or don't want the extra expense you could use a wider floating shelf for now.

Thank you for all your lovely ideas. Yes there is a space behind the table, but at the moment we just want to decoration for the wall ( so broke after redoing the whole house). But definately will furnish it in the furure. Do you think it will be better if we paint this wall darker grey? Or leave it the way it is? I also like the idea of putting maybe 3 black and white slogans in a black frame??

Im afraid of the colour, prefer smaller decorations in colour so i can easly change them (flowers etc)
