oldmangroot, there was a discussion a year ago on this particular characteristic to the leaves.

There are a few species which have a convex shape to the leaves and fold upward, as yours are. I would not be concerned. The leaves and plant looks very healthy. Whether it is a natural habit?

Many of mine are looking very much the same and I believe that it has to do with the amount or intensity of light they are receiving. The leaves will turn upwards in response to the the high light levels as a way to conserve water.

I am not a Botanist or professional Horticulturalist, but I do believe that it is a result of light.

The swazicum typically has this leaf form whether it is immature or adult.

Just make sure you are watering enough and keep doing as you are. You are obviously giving them what they need.

I have a handful of adeniums with leaves that seem to be perpetually folded. Maybe they have some swazicum characteristics as Rick had mentioned. I am watching them closely because for another thing, they seem to have stopped growing.

Leaves beginning to fold (especially the narrow leaves of the Adenium somalense to the right in the second row). Temperature is hitting 30.0 C degrees (86.0 F). An unusual high temperature in Denmark, Scandinavia. The Adeniums love it, though. ;-)

Nice mix of plants Martin and you do a great job of raising them.

Rich, you are a wonderful person, you have so much info to share. As for me, I do have many adenium, but I never pay attention about the leaves.
