In my opinion, painting the cabinets and adding hardware to the cabinets would go a long way. I would also ask the realtor what type of backsplash is most appealing to buyers.

It looks like a large kitchen with good storage, that's a big advantage.

I think a tile backsplash would add value and I would also add some stainless steels knobs to your kitchen cabinets to give them a little update. By all means ask your real estate agent.

Judy said exactly what I would have. I think in some areas this type/stain of wood is still popular. And I think there are those who might prefer to stain a cabinet - which is a lot more work if they have to strip paint first.
