Eek - I hear they bite!!

I read that too but also that they'd rather avoid you than attack. When i extended my phone to get a closer shot of him, he hid on the far side of the rail.

That's one I've never seen, scary looking creature isn't he/she? Here's a picture of a beetle that I found in the garden a couple of years back, just got it identified on the insect forum.

Eek!! The name seems appropriate .

I did not know that it like japanese beetles.. I just saw it this morning on my bean pole! Good to know!!
