Just tasted a fig for the first time this evening from trees in our backyard. It was good but not quite what I expected a fig would taste like. The flavor was subtle. Now, I'd like to find out more what kind of figs I have so I'll know the best way to cook them.

These two leaves are very different. Most of the leaves are like the right one. I think the eyes of the figs are closed.

Any ideas? Nothing I've found so far seems to describe all the characteristics of the figs I have.
