Sap weeping from young fruit

I don't recall seeing this last year so I am wondering if it's ok. I was watering my Chicago fig this morning and noticed some of the smaller fruits had sap oozing from it. See pics. The larger fruits did not have them. Could ants or insect have bitten them?

This will happen when something pierces the fig skin.

so possibly ants then or some type of insect. I do see some small ants around the plant...

Ants can be a problem when figs are almost ripe and get all over them and inside ones that have a larger eye, some use tape and smear grease/vaseline etc on it affixed to trunk its easy with single trunk plants as opposed to bushy type grown.

Anyting that has the ability to pierce the skin, years ago i posted on another forum
picture using a needle to gently poke the skin and the white latex came out wen
someone was wondering the same.
