update a mirrored wall

I have a room that I use as a homework room. One wall is floor to ceiling, wall to wall mirror. We hate it. What is the best, easiest and most cost effective way to cover it? I am afraid to remove it as I am sure it will damage the wall...or, should I try to remove it?

PLEASE HELP!!!!
