Salvaging Winter Squash

So I had to take a work trip at the worst time, right after I saw my first squash vine borer. I came home and scouted for eggs as best I could before leaving again. I obviously missed a few eggs and as a result I have spaghetti and buttercup squash with diffuse borer damage. The vines are trellised so surgery isn't an option. My main problem is that I have 7 spaghetti and 3 buttercup squash on these vines. The oldest spaghetti's have just tinged yellow. The squash is tough, not punctured by my fingernail, but still dented. obviously the stems are still very green.

Am I better off leaving the squash on the vine or harvesting immediately?

I have injected the vines with bt to buy me time, but I would be grateful for guidance from more experienced growers, this is my first time growing winter squash.

Thanks,

Em
