I would for sure trim off the damaged foliage...not sure about the fruit. Hopefully Dave, Sey or Daniel will chime in...much more knowlegeable than myself.

Whenever I see problems with tomatoes, I ask two questions:

1. Did you mulch ?

2. Did you fungicide ?

If there is one, or - worse - two NOs to those questions, I suggest to do it ASAP.

Sometimes, it's not too late.

I also think "Bacterial Specs"
I would trim away the badly affected leaves and keep fungiciding, to keep the spread in check.

Agree it is Bacterial Speck. You'll find of lots of info on it via Google. Remove all affected foliage and use a copper-based fungicide regularly to try to keep the plants going until you can harvest the unaffected fruit. Unfortunately the infected fruit may not be salvageable.

Given the overly wet weather this year in much of the country the various bacterial diseases appear to be running rampant.

You will need to research whether or not it can over-winter in your zone/climate before planting next year.

Thank you all so very much!! I put down hay. But not realizing I shoudlve used chopped hay because the weeds just weaves through and I had to remove it all just to weed. Trial and error I guess. I am mulching today . Any names of fungicide I should use?

You don't have to use chopped hay. Most don't. The weeds just mean you didn't lay it down thick enough.

As I mentioned above, you need to use a copper-based spray since it is bacterial in origin, not a fungus. If you Google Bacterial Speck you'll find a number of brands recommended. But please do understand, this is not a cure. That is not possible. The best you can do is slow it down some. And the spray alone isn't enough. All the infected foliage has to be removed or it will just continue to spread.

I may have removed some as a lot of them were infected :(. I didn't know this was bad .

can we see a recent - today Thursday - picture, of the ENTIRE plant(s) ?

If you have lateral branches (aka 'suckers') that are severely affected then yes you have to remove them too or it just keeps spreading. Sometimes you can just remove part of the branch and keep the healthy part. Hopefully some new ones will sprout.

If you have some with fruit already on them and they are only lightly affected I'd keep them but spray them well and cross your fingers. The goal is to get the plant as clean as you can while still saving any fruit already there that isn't yet infected. It is a difficult balancing act.
