rugs

Add texture with a sisal rug that slips under the front 1/3 of the sofa and extends a foot past each end of it. The zebra items look like wallpaper and need some dimension. I'd mat and frame them and use only three hung 5" above the sofa back. Lower and arrange the other wall decor to work with them. Try to keep the gallery's footprint within 75% of the sofa's width for better balance and focus. Groupings of uneven numbers (3, 5 or 7) are more effective visually and balance wise. The two pieces near the window should be one hand's width apart and that center point should be 5' above the floor. Try a more exotic potted plant instead of the sticks. Something real like an elephant ear or a deeply serrated leafy green plant. Try these hints and you'll see quite a difference.
