Amaryllis/Hippeastrum

Accidentally let amaryllis dry out..

Hi! I have three amaryllis, they're almost always doing well but this time I let them dry out too much. Some leaves started yellowing, so I just cut those ones back and there's still plenty of green leaves.

Should I be worried at all? And there's some conflicting information online, should the soil stay moist constantly? Or dry out slightly between waterings?

You can let it dry between waterings, but it depends where you live. It's 95F where I live and dry and very hot is far worse than dry and just warm.

Go back to what you usually do and they should be fine. Here are the FAQ; read them.... What you'll find is that whatever works for you what you should stick with. We have people growing beautiful bulbs in the extreme heat of Lehore, Pakistan and others baby their bulbs under grow lights in the basement (or furnace room)....and yet the bulbs want to survive!!
