Cut sunflowers for outdoor vase arrangement?

This may be a weird question. I have a ton of volunteer sunflowers from squirrels squirreling away stolen treats from the bird feeder. Since these are essentially wild weeds from bird seed and not cultivated, they're not the typical pollen-free for good cutting. I brought some inside but the amount of pollen on the furniture is too much. How would they hold up in a vase OUTSIDE? While not as nice as cultivated ones, I'd like to enjoy them cut. I could put vases going up the steps of the front porch instead of the planters that are there now. It's hot (85-90) and humid but the porch is mostly shaded. Is 90 too hot for a cut stem to sit outside all day, every day? If they will wilt immediately, I could leave them uncut but they aren't as enjoyable that way since they're just random stalks all over the front and back yards, basically in nooks and crannies that the lawn mower couldn't reach.
