If it's blooming now, it's a type 3 prune (hard prune) probably in the late large-flowered group. There are a lot of clematis that are deep purple with cream or yellow anthers, so it's difficult to ID. I would measure the tepal (petal) length, and then go to Clematis on the Web's search page and type in the info you know (leave everything else blank) to see what suggestions come up. Be aware that color in photos is often inaccurate, so take what you see with a grain of salt, since both the camera and your monitor will create differences along with the light in which a flowers was photographed. Many of the clematis in CotW may not be currently available commercially, so if there isn't a photo, you can probably eliminate it. If the petals are a different shape, or the anthers a different color, you can eliminate it, but you will probably only be able to get it limited down to a set of possibles.

My only question is that because I bought it recently, could it have been green house raised and bloom earlier(?) tho I realize that many clematis bloom few weeks in spring and then maybe rebloom fall. So this might be a summer blooming clematis (vs. spring)?

Cameras and monitors don't always show true colors, here's my H.F. Young, looks similar to yours. If not there's one you can eliminate :).
