plastic canvas paint

I've made some jewelry from plastic canvas and would like to paint it silver. what kind of paint will work for this, and not peel/flake off the piece? I know I can get colored p.c., but don't think I can find a shiny silver or gold. anyone painted p.c. before with success? looking forward to ideas, thanks in advance

I don't know, but I do know there is a spray paint for plastics (Krylon at WalMart) and wonder if it would work - it would have to be light coats of the spray paint so it doesn't plug up the holes... Just a thought...

Thanks your comment, grandma bonnie. I think I have some krylon paint in my craft closet. will give it a try and see how it does. my hubby said I need to clean off the PC with alcohol first, then prime it... he bought some primer for me at walmart, so i'll give that a go also. need to experiment some and see what works best.

make sure it is the spray paint for plastic so it'll "stick" :)
