I have a pot of strawberries I am very tempted to kick to the curb...I have gotten one whole berry off of six plants since planting in May. The other variety I planted has been going gangbusters...these not so much. They got pretty drowned when we got several days of rain in a row and I think they gave up.

Is it too late to start some "early" variety tomatoes from seed and expect to get a crop? I was thinking of ditching the berries and maybe using the pot for a dwarf tomato....

I have Red Robin seeds- they say 54 days

And I have Dwarf Rosella purple seeds-58 days

In my growing region I have approximately 100ish more days until 1st frost date. (Approx October 18th)

The diameter of the pot is about 1 1/2 to 2 feet, and probably 8ish deep? I am not at home to measure, nor do I currently have pictures. However, I do think it might be suitable for a dwarf.

Thoughts?

If it is too late I can just deal with the "never"bearing strawberry plants...I just hate the thought of wasted growing space.
