Honey oak is generally considered dated. The darker cabinets would probably look nicer with your floors. It is unclear what granite you selected. If the granite is dark, the dark cabinets, counters and floors may be a little overwhelming.

Figure out the granite first (I believe you are looking at a "great priced" granite that is speckled...your realtor isn't keen on...am I correct?). As in that post, it is hard to get a counter top to work with the red floors (which are new so those won't change).

Don't do anything else until you choose the counter tops. You may be throwing good money after bad if you add a gel stain that ultimately looks bad. That would lead to a buyer insisting on taking of more money because they would be forced to change out that cabinetry. And when you change cabinetry you almost always lose the granite (removal causes slabs to crack = useless).

Choose the granite and the decide on a stain.
