I don't have a knowledgeable answer to your question. But I do have an 'Ideabook' of 'Houzz' exteriors and a picture file to assist us in planning our exterior remodel.

Looked for some images that might assist you to visualize your quandary. IMO, the exterior lights should be essentially, if not identically, the same. The larger pair is hung by the garage doors, while smaller versions are on the sides of the door &/or hanging from the porch ceiling.

My one suggestion is to go online to the lights' manufacturing site. Since lights are usually designed in various sizes, the manufacturer may have some recommendations regarding uses, sizes and spacing.

I would keep them the same, however go one size larger for the garage if you can, or if this is the largest then all the same size will be fine. measure the existing fixtures on the garage for scaling.
