Hi,

I have 5 plants in tomatoes on my balcony in CT: Early Girl, Sungold, Black Cherry, ? a black cherry variation, and a striped heirloom that I can't currently remember.

They started off well, albeit with few flowers so far and not many fruits. I've had a handful of black cherry and sungold ripen so far that were already started when I bought them in mid-May, but the others are just starting to fruit. I haven't fertilized a lot because they've mainly been all leaves and 'leggy'. I haven't been pleased with the dirt they're in - the water just seems to drain right through it, and the straw I used as mulch isn't controlling weeds (or the mushrooms that are growing from the fungus that was in the dirt bag).

In taking the photos tonight to ask for help - I might have figured some of the things out and identified more things to ask about.

Here are my best guesses at what is going on.

a) it seems that I have flea beetles - not in huge numbers though

b) I'm not sure how to tell how bad the aphids are - I've sprayed extensively on all plants twice with neem oil, and only have the extensive visible white things (which are maybe shells and not the actual aphids??) on the one plant.

c) I think the yellowing on the one plant is either a nutrient deficiency or under/over-watering. It has progressed fairly rapidly over the past couple days. Thoughts on this? It doesn't match what I've had before ...

d) I've picked off most of the yellow into brown and shriveling leaves on the one plant (that plant is the smallest and has very few leaves in comparison). Does early blight seem reasonable for that?

e) The plant with the most leaf curling has generally droopy leaves. Some of the leaves have all their edges curling up - others curl down with a pronounced rise in the center of the leaf. I know I've looked this up before but can't find anything on it when I've searched tonight.
