I've been off work on disability for almost 5 weeks so it's not so much the plants that bother him, it's the fact I bought something but ya can't stop a plant addict. It's like trying to stop the sun from rising.

I can't wait to see them! I am also growing many of Ko's seed right now. I have stopped buying seed finally because I have no more room inside. Take lots of pictures Cynthia and I am excited to see another Adenium lover/collector in the making.

I got my seeds and they are planted. This batch of Plum Passion is from Adenium center in Thailand. The next three from are from Ko. The last two of those will be Arabicum. I can't buy any more this summer.

I just recently ordered my last batch of seeds for this year (I think) from Rinoa. Lots of plants to keep me busy for the rest of the year!

Luckily I live in SW Florida, and should not need to bring in the established plants unless there is a rare hard freeze. But I have a small house, so I don't know where I am to put all these babies when it gets cold.

I'm still waiting for my seeds to arrive. Looking at all these threads is getting me way excited and I may explode if they don't show up soon. I had a few seeds leftover from last time I ordered Adenium seeds but that was a couple years ago and I read that fresh seeds have a much higher germination success rate and that is definitely proving true. I planted them at least couple weeks ago and only one has sprouted which isn't looking terribly strong at that. Poor thing.

I'm 8 months pregnant which is messing with my lower back and pelvis (because apparently I make big babies) so I can't work hence the disability and will be swapped over to maternity once he/she arrives.

Thanks Kadie! A new recruit for an Adenium and other plant addiction.

I found some a cache of gently used 3 inch pots, that I will wash up. Trying to decide whether to use them for the seeds that should come this week or pot up the largest seedlings now in 2 inch pots.

You can see the patio is wet from this morning's downpour. We had another downpour this afternoon. 8 inches of rain this week.

CCR: I like how you staged your small pots (x13?) in the large squat pot. Am thinking of doing that, covering the unused in-between space with lava rock or something to that effect … Is it clay, or plastic?

Thank you. The round one is terra cotta. The rectangle is an old pan. I needed to keep them together.

I received three packets of seeds from Ko.. Planted them yesterday and today. Red adenium and two arabicum.

I up potted my plum seedlings today, to make room. They are about two months old.

And it is pouring rain again.

I keep wanting to feed my adenium with the new fish emulsion and kelp that I got. But I am hesitant to add more water to them as we have had about 10 inches in the past week.

It's okay if they don't get fertilizer at this time because rainwater has a few nutrients.

All my plants have weathered 8 inches of rain. I have moved them out for the protective eves of the house in to a bit of sun. As long as it lasts. Expects ore rain.

My big issue is my newest DR from Home depot has a serious case of root rot. Look like about half the root system.

Trying to decide to try to save it. Or take it and the receipt back to HD.

Cynthia, First off. What ever you are doing is working. The leaves on your plant look so lush and healthy. Your seedlings will do well in your care.

As far as the DR from HD. I would try and take it back, if it is not too much of an inconvenience. Unless it is a favorite? If they will not take it back, then do a treatment on it to try and save it. If they will, then hopefully you get a refund or another plant.

Thanks, Kadie and Rick. The foliage looks really good. So I cut away the rotten areas and set her aside to dry out and see what happens. With all this rain, I do hope the cut areas will heal over.

now whether I am truly addicted to adeniums, or just addicted to this forum.

There
are some wonderful people here that I really like and appreciate...they not
only share their flowers, trees, trials and tribulations of growing adeniums,
and advice; but more importantly, these precious people also have
kind words and comments to post on other's threads. I really like it when
they respond to comments and acknowledge you personally by name for your contribution
to their post.

Alas
though, not everyone are as complimentary or as gracious and generous in
their kindness as others. You, Tracy,
Marie, Dain, Lisa, Satish, Kirk, Chris, Martin, Laura, Bragu-Dave, Lonnie,
Mark, Nicholas (truly sorry if I missed someone), seem to always click on the
"like" button on just about anything I post/comment.

Some
people don’t realize it, but this simple click of the “like” or the “thank you”

My seeds finally arrived! Got about 90 of them. Don't know where I'm gonna plant them all.

I completely forget and most importantly do not pay attention to the "like" symbol. If I make a post on someone's thread it is usually in assistance or complimenting them. I do not really see the need to give a "thumbs up" if I have already made my initial comment. I most definitely will try and remember, but it is not important to myself.

To each his/her own. Not offended, just do not understand the importance?

Well, it's raining again, again and again. My seedlings are swimming again. I finally putative bigger ones out on the patio again. I figure at least the water might drain quicker and they will catch Avery drop of the infrequent sun. The littlest ones, even under the aves, get too much water and are in a tray of water.

We had had 8 inches over the weekend, and it is still raining. But at least I'm am not flooded like other areas. I am thankful for that.

The rain is nice when you do need it Cynthia, but it sounds as though it could stop for you, any time.

maybe lift the pots and trays and put them on stool type inverted pot or crate as they do in Thailand when the get the monsoon's.

They are on boards, and bricks. Even the little ones ae on tables, and still get splashed.

Not sure if the splashing water, Cynthia would create too much of a problem as long as they are in a fast draining mix and the weather is warm. At least you have them up off the ground. Remove any trays under any of them though.

At least my newest seeds are sprouting. Temps are in the 70s here, usually close to 90.

I have noticed that some of my seedlings have decidedly pink cad exes. These seeds were labeled plum passion and Ko's red. But not all the seedlings in those batches.

Land yes they are surviving the massive rains. We did have 3 days with no rain, but a couple storms rolled through yesterday and last night. Maybe more today.

Cynthia they all look happy and healthy. They remind me of little dragonflies. Did the tips get scorched on some of them or did you pinch them?

I have some similar pink caudexes from Ko. My seedlings of A. obesum 'Miracle' started with a pink stem, but ended up filling in with color. The leaves are a little short on chlorophyll making them look like they could be variegated. They are a little more sensitive to light than the others.

My red Adenium from Home Depot. I almost lost her to root rot. After major surgery, and lots of love, she is budding with leaves and tiny flower buds.!!!! Hurray!

My Ko Seedlings have really taken off. Two types of Arabicum and a red. Planted July 21,2015.

Love the blooms Cindi. She is really putting on a show. The rescue has really bounced back, I didn't think she would pull through but you did it.

Seedlings all look really happy. It is interesting to me to see how the leaf shape differs for seedlings that are exposed to Florida sun versus the indoor lighting.
